Moustafa, Amal and their daughters

Moustafa and Amal who arrived with their two tiny daughters in November 2016 welcomed a new daughter, Mariam, in 2022. All 5 family members are now U.S. citizens.

Moustafa moved into a new position with Coca-Cola in the fall of 2021. In November 2022 the family purchased a three bedroom home.

In 2024-2025 school year, Yusra is in sixth grade and Rasha in fourth grade. They are doing well in school and also in Sunday school where they are learning the Quran and Arabic! Mariam, now 3, will likely attend pre-K next school year.

Weaam and her two sons

Weaam and her two sons arrived in January 2017. In May 2022 all 3 family members became U.S. citizens.

In summer 2022, Weaam started a job in a newly opening Middle Eastern restaurant. She received a significant increase in her wages and reduced her commute to only 5 minutes. Sulaiman who is nearly 16 has a part-time job with the same restaurant. In 2024-2025 school year Sulaiman is a senior in hih school and now 16-year-old Abdulrahman is in 10th .
